Isaiah 45: 2-3

   Isaiah 45: 2-3

2 I will go before you
   and will level the mountains
   I will break down gates of bronze
   and cut through bars of iron.
3 I will give you hidden treasures,
   riches stored in secret places,
   so that you may know
   that I am the Lord,
   the God of Israel,
   who summons you by name.

Isaiah 40:7-10

    Isaiah 40: 7-10

7 The grass withers and the flowers fall,
    because the breath of the Lord
    blows on them.
    Surely the people are grass.
8 The grass withers and the flowers fall,
    but the word of our God
    endures forever.”
9 You who bring good news to Zion,
   go up on a high mountain.
   You who bring good news to
   Jerusalem, lift up your voice
   with a shout, lift it up, do not be
   afraid;
   say to the towns of Judah,
   "Here is your God!”
10 See, the Sovereign Lord comes
    with power,
    and he rules with a mighty arm.
    See, his reward is with him,
    and his recompense accompanies
    him.

Isaiah 40: 3-5

   Isaiah 40: 3-5

3 A voice of one calling:
  "In the wilderness prepare
    the way for the Lord
    make straight in the desert
    a highway for our God.
4 Every valley shall be raised up,
    every mountain and hill made low;
    the rough ground shall become level,
    the rugged places a plain.
5 And the glory of the Lord will be
   revealed, and all people will see it
   together.
   For the mouth of the Lord
   has spoken.”

Isaiah 49: 10-11

Isaiah 49: 10-11

10 They will neither hunger
      nor thirst, nor will the desert
      heat or the sun beat down
      on them. He who has
      compassion on them
      will guide them and lead them
      beside springs of water.

11 I will turn all my mountains
     into roads, and my highways
     will be raised up.

Isaiah 48: 10-11

Isaiah 48: 10-11

10 See, I have refined you,
     though not as silver;
     I have tested you
     in the furnace
     of affliction.

11 For my own sake,
     for my own sake,
     I do this.
     How can I let myself
     be defamed?
     I will not yield
     my glory to another.

Isaiah 48: 17-19

    Isaiah 48: 17-19

17 This is what the Lord says—
    your Redeemer,
    the Holy One of Israel:
   "I am the Lord your God,
    who teaches you what is best
    for you, who directs you
    in the way you should   go.
18 If only you had paid attention
    to my commands,
    your peace would have been
    like a river,
    your well-being like the waves of the sea.
19 Your descendants would have been
    like the sand,
    your children like its numberless grains;
    their name would never be blotted out
    nor destroyed from before me.”

Isaiah 55: 6-7

   Isaiah 55: 6-7

6 Seek the Lord while he may be
   found;
   call on him while he is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake their ways
   and the unrighteous their thoughts.
   Let them turn to the Lord,
   and he will have mercy on them,
   and to our God, for he will freely
   pardon.

Isaiah 55: 1-3

   Isaiah 55: 1-3

1 Come, all you who are thirsty,
   come to the waters;
   and you who have no money,
   come, buy and eat!
   Come, buy wine and milk
   without money and without cost.
2 Why spend money on what is not
   bread, and your labor on
   what does not satisfy?
   Listen, listen to me, and eat
   what is good, and you will delight
   in the richest of fare.
3 Give ear and come to me;
   listen, that you may live.
   I will make an everlasting covenant
   with you, my faithful love
   promised to David.

Isaiah 55: 8- 11

    Isaiah 55: 8-11

8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
    neither are your ways my ways,”
    declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
    so are my ways higher than your ways
    and my thoughts than your thoughts.
10 As the rain and the snow
    come down from heaven,
    and do not return to it
    without watering the earth
    and making it bud and flourish,
    so that it yields seed for the sower
    and bread for the eater,
11 so is my word that goes out
     from my mouth:
     It will not return to me empty,
     but will accomplish what I desire
     and achieve the purpose
     for which I sent it.

Isaiah 51: 4-8

Isaiah 51: 4-8

4 “Listen to me, my people;
    hear me, my nation:
    Instruction will go out from me;
    my justice will become a light
    to the nations.
5 My righteousness draws near
    speedily,
    my salvation is on the way,
    and my arm will bring justice
    to the nations.
    The islands will look to me
    and wait in hope for my arm.
6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens,
    look at the earth beneath;
    the heavens will vanish like smoke,
    the earth will wear out like a garment
    and its inhabitants die like flies.
    But my salvation will last forever,
    my righteousness will never fail.
7 “Hear me, you who know what is right,
    you people who have
    taken my instruction to heart:
    Do not fear the reproach of mere
     mortals
    or be terrified by their insults.
8 For the moth will eat them up
    like a   garment;
    the worm will devour them like wool.
    But my righteousness will last forever,
    my salvation through all generations
